These days, he is a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), but Brad Hompe has long been considered a top-notch expert when it comes to nearly every area of prison operations, even such esoteric areas as food service and firefighting. His high level of expertise comes out of his lengthy and varied experience in all aspects of jail operations, including jail and prison planning and design, policy development, including use of force, the development and implementation of training and evaluation and incident management.

In addition to leading the development and implementation of corrections programs, Brad Hompe has also worked in almost every area of prison operations as he worked his way up from the position of corrections officer to warden. He held pretty much every position on the ladder in the process. Brad also has a lot of formal education. He started by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice and psychology from Winona State University in Minnesota and then he went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.
